Ben Klock (Berghain/Ostgur Ton) ‘I like Pose a lot. Thanks’

Tommy Four Seven (CLR) ‘Wow, I think this is some of Bas's finest work. Awesome!’

Lucy (Stroboscopic Artefacts) ‘Best Bas Mooy prod so far... Absolutely classy and wild at the same time. As always Perc Trax is a forced step for many great artists to find their 'right way'. 5 stars to the label A&R.’

Drumcell (Droid/CLR) ‘Kneel is a fucking KILLER! Good work!’

Jonas Kopp (Ostgut Ton / Traut) ‘Hard to pick a favourite track , great EP , will play them out for sure.’

Truss (Perc Trax / Stroboscopic Artefacts) ‘Like the deepness of Pose. Thanks’

The Black Dog (Dust Science / Soma) ‘Love the art and this is great big slab of fantastic dark wave, will be dropping these for sure. Kneel would be the pick.’

Cassegrain (Prologue) ‘Excellent ep. All tracks will be played a lot.’

Motor (CLR / Mute) ‘Solid muscle.’

Bas makes his Perc Trax debut with this 4-track release which is an example of label and artist meeting in the middle, yet both moving onto new ground. The 4 tracks see Bas deliver some of his most experimental tracks to date but when compared with some of Perc Trax’s recent output this is definitely more of a dancefloor focussed release.

Bas has recently released on Luke Slater’s Mote Evolver label and continues to run the Audio Assault label with Perc Trax hero Radial. A cornerstone of the techno scene in the Netherlands his reputation has been growing steadily outside of his home territory but in the last year he has really pushed forward in terms of his production sound and worldwide recognition.

Across the four tracks Bas experiments with synth-lines, echoing stabs and drone atmospherics all built upon a rock solid foundation of bass lines and percussion grooves. More open-minded than anything Bas has released before this is the sound of a dancefloor mainstay blossoming into something new without forgetting where he came from.
