Perc Trax is proud to present the 2nd and final EP of Wicker & Steel remixes a release that demonstrates the range of music that can now fit into the Perc Trax universe with ease. Across these four mixes ambient, drone and Balearic house sounds fuse together to add a fresh spin to some of the best known tracks from Perc’s debut album.

First up is Walls, a duo who are now one of the rising stars of the current Kompakt roster. Riding high from the success of their self-titled debut album and now gearing up to release their 2nd album ‘Coracle’ their fusion of Balearic house with shoegaze-tinged guitar tones has captured the imagination of many. All of these elements are present on their remix of album opener ‘Choice’. An ambient introduction gives way to kind of arpeggios and synth bassline that will have Border Community fans salivating.

Next is TVO, the man behind The Village Orchestra and the Broken20 label. TVO’s ‘Fife Free’ mix delivers an ominous soundscape looping up the pads of Perc’s original mix over a bass-heavy foundation of industrial noise, whilst his ‘Cherry Ripe’ mix sticks to a steady 4/4 groove as stolen CB radio chatter and more looped drones add atmosphere to his deep-as-you-like interpretation.

Lastly is Tengui, one of the main residents at London’s respected Colony events. His remix of Pre-Steel takes the drone excursion of the original mix even further to create a stretched out voyage into a ocean of ambient drones for a remix that has been the opening track in Perc’s sets for some time now.
